Aqualma is a food processing company specialized in production of shrimps. It is based in a remote part of the West Coast of Madagascar.
• Assessed conditions for providing vegetables for onsite company workers and for diversifying income sources
• Carried out feasibility study and set up a 2-hectare gardening farm and demonstration farm
• Established a not-for-profit support organization involving 16 local producers
• Set up planning/production follow up systems

• Liaised with relevant donors in the financial sector (European Investment Bank, French Agency for Development)
2006 - 2006The AFD in Dakar was then involved in 17 different projects (water treatment, education, private sector)
